Driver in wrong lane on McFarland Boulevard dies in Northport crash
A male believed to be driving in the wrong direction on McFarland Boulevard in Northport died in a head-on collision early Saturday, Northport police said.
The identity of the deceased driver was not released by police.
Police said the accident was reported at 12:19 a.m. Saturday. Police said the deceased driver was believed to be traveling east in the westbound lanes of McFarland Boulevard in a 2013 Kia Soul when it collided with a 2020 Toyota Camry driven by a 22-year-old male from Gordo.
Both victims were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center. The Gordo man suffered serious injuries and is in stable condition, police said.
