Tech company owner arrested in Cash App founder Bob Lee’s fatal San Francisco stabbing

A fellow tech worker has been arrested in the murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee in San Francisco, according to a report.

Nima Momeni, the owner of a company called Expand IT, was detained early Thursday morning in the Bay Area, news outlet Mission Local reported.

Lee, 43, was fatally stabbed in downtown San Francisco around 2 a.m. on April 4.

Momeni and Lee knew each other and were riding together in a car when they got into a passionate argument, police sources told Mission Local. They said the killing was not a robbery or a random attack.

Lee was stabbed either in the car or shortly after he stepped outside, cops told Mission Local.

Surveillance video captured Lee stumbling through the streets of downtown San Francisco, holding his side while leaving a trail of blood behind him.

Lee reached a car, lifting his shirt to apparently display the stab wounds to the driver, who then left the scene shortly after. Lee dialed 911, but had collapsed on the sidewalk by the time first responders arrived.

He was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. Lee’s cause of death was two stab wounds to the chest.

Investigators found a knife not far from where they discovered Lee bleeding out, Mission Local reported.

Cops were dispatched to Emeryville, across the Bay Bridge from downtown San Francisco, to arrest Momeni at his home, according to the outlet.

Momeni’s company, Expand IT, was an IT services and solutions company, according to a LinkedIn page.
