Meet Randall Dueitt, Mobile County Commissioner
A native of Theodore, Randall Dueitt has served as the Mobile County Commissioner for District 3 since 2020. He previously worked as a Sergeant in the Mobile County Sherriff’s Office for 23 years and worked in the Alabama State Legislature as a governmental affairs liaison.
Dueitt represents south Baldwin County, a largely rural area. During his time in office, he’s prioritized the county’s parks and recreation facilities, such as acquiring and re-opening Cedar Point Pier and renovating Bayfront Park.
Here, Dueitt discusses his upcoming projects, why recreational facilities are important and the recent challenges completing those projects.
Questions and answers have been condensed and edited for clarity.
I asked Commissioner [Connie] Hudson this, and she really spoke county-wide. But I’ll ask the same question to you, what do you see as the biggest issues facing your district?
