Two men were shot, with one suffering fatal wounds, in a drive-by shooting on Brownlee Street in Mobile Saturday night.

According to Mobile police, the two men were sitting in a vehicle outside a residence shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday when another vehicle pulled alongside and the occupant(s) fired multiple shots, striking both victims before fleeing the scene.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, both with what were described as life-threatening injuries. One of the two men later died. The condition of the second victim was not immediately available.

The name of the deceased man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Mobile police said no other details will be released.
