Bryce Young starts for Alabama football against Tennessee
He’s back. Bryce Young made his expected return against Tennessee, lining up behind the center for the first offensive play of the game.
With 14:56 left in the first quarter, Young stood in the shotgun from the Alabama 8-yard line. He threw a quick screen pass to JaCorey Brooks for 1 yard.
Young sprained his shoulder against Arkansas on Oct. 1 and was relieved by Jalen Milroe. Nick Saban said Young had this type of injury before and it “wasn’t serious.”
Young warmed up before Alabama’s contest against Texas A&M and remained in uniform as the Tide escaped with a 24-20 win.
Before his injury, Young had a 67.2% completion rate with 14 touchdowns and 1,202 passing yards against three interceptions. Milroe threw for 176 yards and ran for 174 against the Razorbacks and Aggies, respectively with four touchdowns and three turnovers.
