Two people were found dead in a Lauderdale County home Thursday evening.

WHNT is reporting the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office discovered the bodies inside a home on Arnold Lane.

Sheriff Joe Hamilton told the station a gun was recovered at the scene, where investigators found the bodies of a man and woman.

“Although this is a homicide investigation, I would not refer to it as a double homicide,” Hamilton said.
