Man critically wounded in north Alabama shooting
A man was critically injured after being shot Wednesday night in north Alabama, police said Thursday.
Tuscumbia police officers responded to a call of a person shot around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Monroe Drive, near downtown Tuscumbia, Police Chief Tony Logan told WHNT.
At the scene, officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to the arm and torso. He was taken to Heller Keller Hospital before being transferred to Huntsville Hospital.
The victim was still in surgery as of Thursday afternoon, Logan said. Police hope to interview the man.
