43-year-old identified as man killed in northern Jefferson County crash

Authorities have released the name of a man killed in a single-vehicle crash in northern Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the fatality victim as Oliver Andrew Brown. He was 43 and lived in Warrior.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just before 7 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a crashed pickup truck on Barber Boulevard near Church Street.

They arrived to find Brown unresponsive in the cab of the truck. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:31 a.m.

Authorities said Brown was driving westbound on Barbers Boulevard when his truck left the road and struck a metal guardrail.
