Student found with stolen gun at Mobile’s Theodore High School
A 16-year-old student at Theodore High School was found with a stolen weapon inside his backpack, according to Mobile police.
Officers reported the campus on Swedetown Road about 11:45 Tuesday morning in response to a report of a firearm on campus.
School administrators advised police a gun had been found inside an unattended backpack belonging to the 16-year-old male student.
Police said the weapon had been reported stolen in a jurisdiction outside Mobile County.
The student was taken into custody and transported to the Strickland Youth Center.
