1 Of the 50 games between Kentucky and Mississippi State has featured two ranked teams – the one on Saturday night. Previously, the Bulldogs were ranked for nine games against Kentucky, and the Wildcats were ranked for six games against MSU, but this will be the first game in which both teams are ranked.

2 TD passes are needed by Mississippi State QB Will Rogers to become the school’s career leader. Dak Prescott holds the MSU career record with 70 TD passes during the 2012 through 2015 seasons. Rogers’ 22 TD passes in 2022 rank second in the nation to Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud’s 24.

The Bulldogs beat Bowling Green 45-14 on Sept. 24, Texas A&M 42-24 on Oct. 1 and Arkansas 40-17 on Oct. 8 for their fifth streak of three games with 40 or more points in school history. The others occurred in 1944, 1994, 2013 and 2015. Kentucky has not allowed its opponent to score more than 24 points in any of its past 10 games.

Rogers broke the league record of 921 completions established by Georgia QB Aaron Murray in 52 games across the 2010 through 2013 seasons. Rogers broke the record in 28 games.
