A Jasper teen was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday night in Walker County.

The Walker County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Harlee Vines. She was 17 and attended Curry High School.

The crash happened at 9:10 p.m. on Alabama 257, about two miles north of Jasper.

Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said the teen was driving a Nissan Versa that collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander driven by 59-year-old Sheri B. McReath, also of Jasper.

Vines was pronounced dead on the scene. McReather was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
