A person was struck and killed by a vehicle early this morning in Boaz.

The Marshall County Coroners Office announced that the incident happened at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of U.S. 431.

A pedestrian, whose name was not yet released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.

Boaz police and fire, Marshall Health Systems EMS and Marshall County 911 all assisted in the incident.
