Authorities are on the scene of a helicopter crash in northeast Shelby County.

Shelby County Sheriffs Office Chief Deputy Clay Hammac said a medical helicopter crashed Sunday afternoon. The downed aircraft is in the area of Bear Creek Road and County Road 43, an area off US Highway 280.

Hammac said there are injuries.
