Anthony Richardson lands backflip after monster throw, hits ceiling with pass during pro day

Anthony Richardson showed off his athleticism Thursday during Florida’s pro day.

After unleashing a bomb, he executed a roundoff backflip.

It was the latest example of what has NFL franchises intrigued by the Florida quarterback.

Oh yeah, Richardson also completed a number of his 45 passes.

The 6-foot-4, 244-pound quarterback from Gainesville skipped all the measurement drills on campus after shining during the Scouting Combine. One of his misfires was overthrowing a receiver 70 yards away, and, of course, hitting the ceiling with another pass.

“I feel like I delivered the ball pretty well today,” Richardson said, per The Associated Press. “Some of them weren’t as great as I wanted to be, but I feel like I threw the ball pretty well today.”

Carolina’s Frank Reich, Seattle’s Pete Carroll and Jacksonville’s Doug Pederson were three NFL coaches in attendance. The Panthers and Seahawks were also in attendance this spring at Ohio State (CJ Stroud), Alabama (Bryce Young) and Kentucky (Will Levis).

Richardson met individually with Las Vegas and Carolina on Wednesday, and he has several more teams lined up in the coming days and weeks.
