One person is dead following a shooting at a Huntsville apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

WAAY reports that the shooting happened about 1 a.m. on Springtime Boulevard.

Investigators responded to a reported break-in at an apartment and found one victim.

Police are investigating.

The deadly shooting came just hours after a Huntsville police officer died and two others were wounded in a separate shooting at a different apartment complex.
