Police released bodycam footage Tuesday of the moment officers searched The Covenant School and neutralized shooter Audrey Hale after the suspect shot and killed six people Monday.

The six-minute video supplements an earlier release, late Monday, of about two minutes of edited surveillance footage that shows the shooter’s car driving up to the school, glass doors being shot out and the shooter ducking through one of them.

The new video from Officer Rex Engelbert’s body cam shows a woman greeting police outside as they arrive at The Covenant School on Monday.

“The kids are all locked down, but we have two kids that we don’t know where they are,” she told police.

“OK, yes, ma’am,” Engelbert replied.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department released the video, which shows officers Englebert and Michael Collazo enter the school and go door to door looking for the shooter.

It was when they reached the second floor they encountered the shooter.

“Not knowing what the circumstances really were upon arrival, officers remain calm and collected, not raising anxiety but making the entry as necessary to go search for the suspect,” CNN law enforcement analyst Jonathan Wackrow said.

He said efficiency in which officers responded was “essential for the preservation of life.”

“And these officers did a remarkable job.”
