Huntsville City Football Club fans pack Yellowhammer Brewing to view MLS NEXT Pro debut
Avid soccer fan Martin Blanco wandered the back of the room at the Huntsville City Football Club’s watch party at Yellowhammer Brewing hoping to find a good spot to watch the team’s Major League Soccer NEXT Pro league debut.
He was fortunate to find a spot to watch striker Azaad Liadi score the Nashville Soccer Club affiliate’s first ever goal in the match against Crown Legacy FC, a match Huntsville City FC would eventually win in a shootout after playing to a 2-2 tie in regulation.
That goal, and other moments in the game were met with loud roars from a crowd getting into the match.
Blanco wasn’t surprised to see fans decked out in Huntsville City FC shirts and scarves, and jerseys supporting the parent club.
“When they did the reveal party, the place was packed,” Blanco said.
