Man charged with murder in Mobile shooting

A suspect is jailed on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man in Mobile.

According to Cpl. Ryan Blakely of the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of Flicker Drive on Friday night after a report a shooting.

Officers found Al Dimitri Craig suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Craig was transported to an area hospital, where he was later died of his wounds.

Police said the suspect, identified as 26-year-old William Malik Glover, ran from the scene. Police later took him into custody near the intersection of Sligo and Amsterdam streets.

He is held without bond at the Mobile Metro Jail. He also has a hold placed on him for a Tennessee law enforcement agency. Blakely declined to say which Tennessee agency had the hold on Glover or why he is wanted there.

Glover does appear in a Tennessee Department of Corrections search, but he is listed only as “inactive,” with no additional information.

Glover was arrested last year in the Mobile area for charges including domestic violence/assault, domestic violence/strangulation, failure to obey a lawful order and possession of marijuana.

The disposition of those cases was not immediately available.
