Samford signee Tyler Douthit falls from 4th floor Georgia parking deck, in ICU

Tyler Douthit, an 18-year-old Samford football signee fell four stories from a parking garage in Georgia and was taking to the ICU.

On March 19 just before 3 a.m., Athens-Clarke County police responded to a call that someone had fallen from the parking deck in downtown Athens.

The responding officer found Douthit, an offensive lineman at Woodstock High School in Athens, “laying at the bottom of the stairs near the entrance” to the garage, per the Macon Telegraph..

Douthit hit the railings of the stairs after falling from the fourth floor and was taken to a medical facility with undisclosed injuries. He was admitted into the intensive care unit, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

Police told multiple news outlets there was no evidence of foul play.
