A 15-year-old driving a stolen sports car crashed the car early Tuesday morning, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they were notified of a burglary in progress at Patriot Automotive in Meridianville. Deputies said the suspect had found the keys to a 2016 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette and then led them on a pursuit from the Hazel Green area before crashing on the ramp at I-565 and Bob Wallace.

The driver was taken into custody without incident and there were no injuries. WAFF reported the teen has been charged with attempting to elude, burglary and theft of property.
