Mobile mom threatens high school students with weapon after daughter beaten up, police say

Three Williamson High School High School students landed themselves in youth detention and incurred the wrath of a mother after the three teens beat up another student Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to an assault call from the school just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Arriving at the scene, they learned the female victim had been approached by three teens — two females, one male — and a physical altercation had ensued.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The victim’s mother was contacted and arrived at the school, became “disorderly and threatened to use a weapon while standing outside,” according to police.

The mother, 35-year-old Stephanie Ford, was arrested and transported to Mobile Metro Jail, charged with making a terrorist threat. She has since posted bond and been released.

The three juveniles were taken to the Strickland Youth Center.
