State authorities issued a missing and endangered person alert Thursday night for a 75-year-old man who disappeared in north Alabama.

William Lee Sanders was last seen around 2 p.m. Thursday wearing a v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans, and black Nike Air-Max shoes near Effie Drive in Hazel Green, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, which issued the alert on Sanders’ disappearance.

Sanders was described as 6-feet 1-inch tall, 170 pounds with brown eyes. He is bald.

Anyone with information on Sanders’ whereabouts was asked to call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 256-222-7181 or 911.
