‘Lucky Hank’ series premiere: How to watch and where to stream
Starring Bob Odenkirk from Breaking Bad and Better Caul Saul, the new AMC TV series Lucky Hank will premiere tonight at 9/8c.
According to AMC, Lucky Hank is a witty midlife meltdown tale starring Odenkirk as Professor “Hank” Devereaux, Jr., the unlikely chairman of an English department at a badly underfunded college who becomes increasingly unhinged navigating the chaos of personal and academic life.
Though the new series will premiere on AMC, those who have ditched basic cable can still stream tonight’s premiere live with Philo.
For those who are unfamiliar with Philo, it is one of the cheaper live-streaming services available as it allows users to stream over 70 live channels for just $25 a month.
Other than AMC, popular channels offered with Philo include Lifetime, Hallmark, MTV, AMC, HGTV, History Channel, Discovery Channel, CMT, TLC, BET and more.
New subscribers can also take advantage of Philo’s 7-day free trial and watch Lucky Hank for free before committing to anything.
More about Lucky Hank
William Henry “Hank” Devereaux, Jr., the unlikely English department chairman at the badly underfunded Railton College in the Pennsylvania rust belt, is coping with a midlife crisis.
Just as Hank’s life begins to unravel, his wife, Lily, also begins to question the path she is on as the vice principal of the local high school and the choices she has made.
Told in the first person by Hank, the series is adapted from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo’s novel “Straight Man,” which was inspired by his own experiences teaching at colleges.
