The Alabama women’s basketball team opens play in the NCAA Women’s tournament on Saturday, March 18, against Baylor in the first round at the Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn. The game will be live streamed on fuboTV (free trial).

The Tide, a 10th seed, will go head-to-head with the seventh-seeded Bears for the first time in series history.

Alabama is making its second NCAA tournament appearance in three years after earning a bid to the Big Dance in 2021. Saturday will also mark Alabama’s 12th all-time appearance in the NCAA tournament

Alabama enters the tournament ranked 29th in the NET rankings after coming off a loss to Kentucky in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

Aaliyah Nye leads the conference and ranks seventh nationally in 3-point percentage (44.7), while ranking second in the SEC in three pointers per game (2.48).

Brittany Davis leads the team in points (17. 3 ppg), rebounds (7.1 rpg) and steals (1.8 spg).

Baylor, meanwhile, is coming off a Big 12 quarterfinal loss to Iowa State, dropping a 74-63 decision to the Cyclones The loss was one of six in the last nine games for the Bears, who are on a two-game losing streak

The Alabama women’s team faces Baylor in the NCAA women’s tournament on Saturday, March 18 at 4:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m. ET).
