If you want to help build cars in Huntsville, Mazda Toyota Manufacturing and its Team One partners want to talk to you.

The companies will be holding a job fair April 1 with about 700 openings to be filled. In addition to Mazda Toyota, Team One partners participating in the job fair will include up to 15 supplier partners.

The job fair will take place at the Huntsville Marriott at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Jobs are available with the companies that help build Toyota’s Corolla Cross and Mazda’s CX-50 at the Mazda Toyota facility in Limestone County.

Jobs are available for all skill levels, including those with no manufacturing experience.

“Every position at every Team One company plays a role in the production of the Corolla Cross and CX-50,” Katherine Evans, OSP Assistant Manager at MTM, said in the announcement. “There are roughly 700 open positions within Team One, all of which provide the opportunity to be part of the exciting future of manufacturing.”

Most job applicants will be able to apply with multiple companies at the job fair.

Mazda Toyota said last month it had filled about 3,700 jobs – leaving it about 300 short of its objective of 4,000 jobs – and has recently raised starting salaries. MTM offers a starting hourly wage of $20 an hour and top rates to $26.20 an hour for production team members. For multi-skilled maintenance, facilities, and tool-and-die team members, starting wages begin at $27.60 an hour and top wages to $38.50 an hour.

Partner companies expected to take part in the job fair are Aldez, Carter Express, DNUS, Green Metals Inc., Madison Metal Processing, Magnolia Automotive Services, Nippon Express, Penstone, Sanoh America, Systems Automotive Interiors Alabama, Toyota Boshoku, TBAKI, YKTA and Vuteq.
