Good evening from Bartow Arena, where the UAB basketball team looks to extend its postseason with a win over former C-USA rival Southern Miss in the first round of the NIT.

The Blazers are 25-9 overall and coming off a loss to FAU in the C-USA tournament title game, while the Golden Eagles fell in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament after capturing the regular-season crown with a 25-7 record.
