Robins & Morton completes $246 million Florida hospital project

Birmingham-based construction firm Robins & Morton recently completed a $246 million Florida hospital campus.

The six-story, nearly 320,000-square-foot BayCare Wesley Chapel tower and medical office building opened March 7.

The 86-bed facility includes emergency department services, operating rooms, catheterization labs, an intensive care unit, diagnostic services and imaging. The hospital is located in Wesley Chapel in Pasco County, in Florida’s west central coast.

The project broke ground in 2020.

“Building this new facility will bring more healthcare options for the people of Pasco County and increase their care access,” Robins & Morton Senior Vice President Bruce Adams said. “We’re proud to have a small part in that effort and to have delivered the project under budget.”

BayCare has 16 hospitals throughout the Tampa Bay and central Florida regions.

Robins & Morton was the general contractor, while HKS was the architect.
