A popular children’s toy has been recalled after two deaths have been linked to the products.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Epoch Everlasting Play announced a recall for more than 3.2 million flocked Calico Critters animal figures and sets that were sold with bottle and pacifier accessories.

The sets, manufactured between 2000 and 2021, could pose a chocking hazard to children, according to Epoch. According to a release from the company, there have been three choking incidents related to the pacifier accessories, including the deaths of a 2-year-old child in New Mexico in 2018 and a 9-month old child in Japan in 2015.

The bottle accessories were sold in yellow, pink, blue and orange; pacifiers were sold in yellow, orange, pink, dark pink, blue and teal colors. The toy sets were sold at Walmart and other stores nationwide and online at www.calicocritters.com and www.amazon.com.

If you have the recalled items, take them away from children and then register here to participate in the recall and receive a replacement. Adults should use scissors to cut off the top of the bottle and handle of the pacifier to property destroy them and document it via photographs.
