One person killed after being ejected from car on I-65 in north Alabama

A person was killed in north Alabama early Sunday morning when a car left the roadway and collided with a guardrail on I-65 near the Tennessee River Bridge in Morgan County.

The victim was ejected from the vehicle, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the victim.

The crash, which occurred at around 3:30 a.m., caused all northbound lanes of I-65 to close for a time Sunday morning, but those lanes have since been reopened.
