2 men not wearing seatbelts killed in Sumter County when car hits trees, flips
Two Alabama men were killed in a single vehicle car crash early Saturday morning troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.
Shamerian Lewis, a 26-year-old from Dixons Mills, and Cordarrel Robinson, a 32-year-old from Mobile, were both passengers in a car that drove off the road and hit several trees before flipping.
Neither of the victims was wearing a seatbelt, troopers said, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning on Alabama 17, roughly nine miles south of York in Sumter County.
