2 bodies found in suspected murder-suicide at a Fairhope park

South Alabama officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in a local park.

Local outlet WKRG reported that the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office was called to Bohemian Park in Fairhope Saturday afternoon after an individual found two dead bodies near Fish River, which runs through the park.

According to the outlet, the person was walking in the area when they found the bodies and don’t believe the witness was involved in the incident.

A note was found by officials that indicated that it was a “planned murder-suicide,” according to the outlet.

WALA reported that both individuals appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.

The names are known by the BCSO, but they won’t be released at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
