Alabama A&M grad comes back to school for TEDx talk

An Alabama A&M University alum and former student government association president is headed back to Huntsville this month to give her first TEDx Talk.

Aayana Ingram is set to record her TEDx Talk on March 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Buchanan Hall. The recorded talk will air on the Ted Talk website and YouTube channel.

Ingram, of Ozark, received her degree in political science at AAMU in 2019. She earned her master’s degree in political science at Purdue University following that, and now works as a diversity champion and HBCU recruiter with Accenture Federal Services.

“I decided to film my TEDx Talk at AAMU because I felt it was essential for me to discuss this subject at the institution that helped shape who I am today and because I thought it would be motivating for students to know that opportunities like this are attainable,” said Ingram in a press release.

The event will be sponsored by the AAMU Honors Program and the public is welcome to attend the taping of Ingram’s talk.
