Pensacola woman involved in two wrecks in same day, the second with injuries

A Pensacola woman allegedly caused a wreck that sent a 15-year-old girl to the hospital on the same day that she was allegedly involved in a separate incident.

Reports out of Escambia County, Florida, say a 51-year-old Pensacola woman was the cause of not one, but two, vehicular accidents Thursday.

NorthEscambia.com reported the driver, who was not identified, was in an accident earlier Thursday. Details on that accident were not available.

Later Thursday, the woman was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup when she rear-ended a Hyundai Sonata on Highway 57. The collision caused the Hyundai to leave the roadway, where it struck a tree.

The driver, a 56-year-old woman from Molino, Florida, and the passenger, a 15-year-old girl, were both taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. The teen girl was listed in critical condition, according to the NorthEscambia.com report.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the woman who caused the two wrecks was not impaired and was issued a citation.
