There are signs posted in Forest Park making it clear that gas powered leaf blowers are not everyone’s cup of tea.

The signs sponsored by the Forest Park /South Avondale Neighborhood Association feature a reproduction of Edvard Munch’s famous painting, “The Scream” with the declaration:

“MAKE THE LEAF BLOWERS STOP. Please join us in saying No to gas-powered backpack blowers.”

Blocks away, workers with gas-powered backpack blowers can often be seen busily working in front of neatly manicured homes.

In Forest Park, as elsewhere in the Birmingham metro and across the country, people either love the gas-powered leaf blower or they hate it.
