Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘entanglement’ partner thought Chris Rock’s jokes ‘funny’

August Alsina, the other half of Jada Pinkett Smith’s “entanglement,” watched and laughed during Chris Rock’s comedy special.

“August watched the Netflix special and he laughed,” a source told The Post. “He thought it was not only funny but truthful. That was the best part for him.”

On Saturday, Rock did 10 minutes about being slapped by Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars during his live Netflix special “Selective Outrage.”

“A lot of people spoke out against (Alsina),” the source said. “So he was happy to see that Chris Rock seemed to be advocating for the truth and not just making a joke.”

Page Six previously reported that Alsina, now 30, and Pinkett Smith, 51, met in 2015 at the Wire Festival in London.

According to The Post, “(Pinkett Smith) definitely downplayed a four-year relationship. It was not an entanglement. And that’s what made it so unfortunate. (Alsina) did not drag them in any interviews. It was not a scandal. It was just [Alsina] telling his truth and getting his life back.

“He was actually getting sick from (the stress of the romance). Physically sick.”

On Saturday, Rock didn’t hold back.

“His wife was (expletive) her son’s friend. I normally wouldn’t not talk about this (expletive). … I have no idea why two talented people would do something that (expletive) lowdown. We’ve all been cheated on. None of us has ever been interviewed by the person who cheated on us on television. … Why the (expletive) would you do that (expletive)? …

“She hurt him way more than he hurt me. Everybody in the world called him a (expletive). I tried to call the (expletive). I tried to call that man and give him my condolences. He didn’t pick up for me.”
