The Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of two eyedrops due to the possibility they could be contaminated.

It’s the latest recall involving eyedrops. The FDA had earlier announced recall for EzriCare Artificial Tears, Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Eye Ointment after they were linked to an outbreak of drug-resistant infections that have led to vision loss, blindness and death.

This recall includes two lots of Purely Soothing 15% MSM Drops made by Pharmedica USA LLC due to sterility problems “that could result in blindness.” People are advised to immediately stop using the drops and return them to the place where they were purchased.

The other recall  covers six lots of Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution made by Apotex. It was made “out of an abundance of caution,” due to cracks in some of the bottle caps that could have impacted sterility.

People who have the products should quit using them immediately and return them for a refund.
