Huntsville police this morning discovered a shooting victim, but believe the shooting happened in another location.

Huntsville police spokeperson Sydney Martin said officers responded to the 4000 block of Newson Road about 5:40 a.m. to the victim of a shooting.

The person, whose name was not released, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the shooting happened elsewhere, but Martin said they are still trying to determine the location.
