Six more AHSAA state basketball champions will be claimed today at Legacy Arena in Birmingham.

Titles will be decided in Classes 2A, 3A and 4A on Day 4 of the finals.

NEXT UP, 2A Girls Championship: Mars Hill Bible (25-5) vs. Cold Springs (31-2)

8:53 AM, Setting the table: It’s No. 1 Cold Springs vs. No. 2 Mars Hill Bible first on the court this morning. Tammy West has led Cold Springs to four state titles and one runner-up finish. They won championships in 1999, 2008, 2009 and 2019 and were second in 2020. Mars Hill has seven state titles and one runner-up finish. The Panthers’ championships came in 1979, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996 and 2005. They were second in 1992. Flori Sweatt is seeking her first state title as head coach.
