Gourmet biscuit franchise opens first Alabama location, second coming soon
A Kentucky-based “craft casual” brunch restaurant opened its first Alabama location earlier this month, and is planning another opening in the state soon.
Biscuit Belly opened in Hoover at 1031 Brock’s Gap Parkway, Suite 157 on Feb. 7, and the Huntsville location is slated to open later this year at 2710 Carl T Jones Dr., Suite 302, according to the company.
Founded in Louisville in 2019, Biscuit Belly announced it was coming to Alabama in 2021.
It serves up scratch-made biscuit sandwiches, breakfast cocktails and Southern breakfast fare.
The Hoover location is run by Power Brands Hospitality, with husband and wife Andrew and Rachel Adams of Hoover.
Among menu items is the Brisket Biscuit, featuring smoked brisket, Alabama white barbeque sauce, caramelized onion and cabbage slaw; the Fire in Your Belly, with a buttermilk fried chicken breast, Nashville hot mayo, pickles and cheddar, and the Belly Buster, featuring a buttermilk fried chicken breast, sausage, bacon, smoked brisket, cheddar, mushroom gravy and an over easy egg.
There’s also a veggie option – The Love Shack, with brie, honey, berry jam and pralines.
Biscuit Belly is also seeking single and multi-unit franchise partners. The brand has five locations open and more than 20 in development, with plans to sign four to five additional multi-unit deals by the end of 2023.
