Alabama fifth goes to hospital, several sickened after reportedly eating raw chicken tenders at lunch
One Alabama elementary school student was hospitalized and several others were sickened Thursday after they reportedly ate raw chicken tenders at lunch.
The incident occurred at Sugar Creek Elementary School in Limestone County, according to WHNT.
Multiple parents told the outlet that their children appeared to become ill after eating lunch, adding that the incident involved “almost the entire” fifth grade class.
The parents said the students ate “raw chicken tenders” at lunch.
Limestone County Schools Superintendent Randy Shearouse told WHNT that “several kids” became ill Thursday, all from the same grade at Sugar Creek Elementary. He also confirmed one student was taken to the hospital after school.
