Four family members were found shot to death Wednesday night in Daphne, according to police and news reports.

Daphne police were called to investigate a shooting incident on Melanie Loop in the Lake Forest subdivision, the department tweeted.

Police Chief Brian Gulsby told Fox 10 the suspect and victims are all part of the same family. The suspect was apprehended in the woods behind the house, Fox 10 reported.

One victim was found inside the home and the three others were in the backyard, Gulsby told WPMI. “As to what led up to this, we are still investigating that part,” Gulsby told the station.

“Additional details will be released as they are learned,” the department tweeted.
