Huntsville police said a person was killed Sunday after being struck by a train.

Sgt. Rosalind White of Huntsville police said the incident happened at about 3:34 p.m.

Police were called to an area just north of Dallas Avenue and Church Street.

They found one person dead, apparently struck by a train.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Police are investigating.
