A shooting in northern Birmingham sent one victim to the hospital.

Birmingham police were dispatched just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday to 33rd Street and 33rd Avenue North.

When they arrived, they found an adult male had sustained a gunshot wound. The severity of his injury wasn’t yet available.

The man was taken to UAB Hospital.
