East Alabama shopping center sells for $2.4 million

An east Alabama retail center recently sold for $2.435 million.

Talladega Shopping Center, built in 1981, is located at 803 Battle St. E. in Talladega, on a 3.6-acre lot.

Commercial real estate brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap announced the sale. Eric Abbott, Zachary Taylor and Eddie Greenhalgh represented the seller. The buyer was not disclosed.

The center is 88% occupied and anchored by Citi Trends and Standard Furniture, both of which have occupied the site for more than a decade.

Other tenants include Regional Finance, and a newly developed outparcel.

“This transaction reflects continued investor appetite for well-located, value-driven retail centers in secondary and tertiary markets,” Abbott said.
