Armed robbery attempt at Mobile food truck ends in fatal shooting
A food truck operator in Mobile shot and killed a man who tried to rob him.
On Sunday, July 27, at about 2:10 a.m., officers responded to a call at a Super Stop at 2061 St. Stephens Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man had been fatally shot, according to a press release from the Mobile Police Department.
Officers said the man had produced a firearm and attempted to rob the victim who was operating a food truck at the location. The victim then produced a firearm and shot the man.
The victim was not injured, according to the release.
“This remains an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time. The subject’s name will be released once family has been notified,” Mobile Chief of Police William Jackson said in a press release.
