71-year-old woman dies after Alabama motorcycle accident
A 71-year-old Alabama woman has died after the motorcycle she was riding on Saturday crashed into another one, according to officials.
Carol Kingsbury of Opp died around 10:15 a.m. on Covington County 82 near Murray Road, according to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Kingsbury struck the back of a motorcycle operated by a 67-year-old man also from Opp.
After the collision, Kingsbury was thrown from the motorcycle and later pronounced dead at the scene, according to Captain Jeremy J. Burkett with ALEA.
The man was not injured.
The ALEA Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the crash and will provide more information once it is available.
