Investigations are ongoing after two men died from separate weekend shootings in Montgomery.

Police officials on Wednesday identified the victims as Javon Holmes, 20, and Desanco Smith, 28. Both lived in Montgomery.

Holmes was shot at 7 p.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Mill Street. He was pronounced dead on the scene, said Sgt. Tina McGriff.

Smith was shot at 1:40 a.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Meadow Lane,

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Details surrounding the deadly shootings have not been released.
