Suspect charged with capital murder in Talladega quadruple homicide

A suspect is in custody in the shooting deaths of four people inside a Talladega apartment earlier this month.

Daishawn Tamar Jackson, 28, is charged with capital murder in the July 5 slayings of Querida Lenora Rachelle Flores, 30, Jamari Rashad Evans, 27, Jeffreon Quejuantay Keith, 40 and Nicholas Lanod Keith, 44.

Jackson was taken into custody earlier today, according to Talladega police.

Talladega police were dispatched about 3:30 p.m. that Saturday to the residence on Old Shocco Road. Officers went to the home after receiving a request for a welfare check on someone who had not been heard from since Thursday.

Once at the residence, police made entry and found three men and a woman dead. All had been shot, according to the Talladega County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities have not said how long the victims had been dead.

Details surrounding the deadly shooting have not been released.

The investigation was a joint effort by Talladega police, the Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the Talladega County District Attorney’s Office, Talladega County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville State University’s Center for Applied Forensics, the East Alabama Metro Crime Center, ATF and FBI.

Jackson is being held without bond in the Talladega County Jail.
