Gunther, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, had a day off while in Birmingham, Alabama recently, so he decided to document the day with a video posted to social media.

“The struggle in America when you want to work out, but, for some reason, the gyms are never open on Sundays.”

That appeared to be the biggest – and only issue – for Gunther, who was in Birmingham for WWE Monday Night RAW. It was his first time in the state.

“That’s the nice part of our job,” he said. “We’re chilling somewhere in the middle of Alabama.”

He admits he would have never come to the Yellowhammer State, he admits, “but my driver invited us.”

“That’s the nice part about the wrestling business,” he said. “I’ve met a lot of people this way and seen a lot of places that I probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise.”

He showed off a little Alabama cuisine in the video. And was that a glass of sweat tea?
