Man jailed in north Alabama for sexual abuse of children, one under age of 12
A Morgan County man has been jailed following his indictment on charges of sexual abuse of minors.
Thomas Johnson, 35, is being held at the county jail on a $100,000 bond and his next court date, according to court records, is in September.
One of the alleged victims was less than 12 years old.
Following his arrest on Thursday, Johnson appeared before a judge on Friday. The judge ordered him not to have contact with the alleged victims.
Witnesses in the case include staff from the sheriff’s office, the Department of Human Resources, and the Child Advocacy Center.
